As a learner, you will receive notifications for Badges, Calendar events, Lessons, Assessments, Newsfeed, Stories and Turnitin for the classrooms in which you are enrolled. You have the ability to control how you want to receive the notifications.
Teamie provides the following notification options:
- Email (email notifications)
- Mobile Device (push notifications in mobile apps)
- Web (bulletin board notifications in web browser)
This article will guide you on how to:
To customize the notifications setting for action related to Badges (as shown in the following screenshot), follow these directions:
- Select the E-mail checkbox next to when you receive a badge preference. When enabled, an email will be sent to you when you will receive a new badge.
- Repeat this step to select/deselect notification preferences for Mobile Device and Web as shown in the following screenshot.
Click Save to save the changes. A message appears confirming that the changes have been saved.
To customize the notifications settings for actions related to calendar events (as shown in the following screenshot), follow these directions:
- Select the E-mail checkbox next to when someone adds/updates/removes an event in your classroom calendar preference. When enabled, an email will be sent to you when someone creates/updates/removes an event in your classroom.
- Repeat this step to select/deselect notification preferences for Mobile Device and Web as shown in the following screenshot.
Click Save to save the changes. A message appears confirming that the changes have been saved.
To customize the notifications settings for actions related to lessons (as shown in the following screenshot), follow these directions:
- Select the E-mail checkbox next to when any lesson is published in your classroom preference. When enabled, an email will be sent to you when someone publishes a new lesson in your classroom.
- Repeat this step to select/deselect notification preferences for Mobile Device and Web as shown in the following screenshot.
Click Save to save the changes. A message appears confirming that the changes have been saved.
To change your notifications preferences for actions related to Assessments [Assignments & Quizzes] (as shown in the following screenshot), follow these directions:
- Select the E-mail checkbox next to when any assessment is published in your classroom preference. When enabled, an email will be sent to you when someone publishes a new assessment in your classroom.
- Repeat this step to select/deselect notification preferences for Mobile Device and Web for other preferences as shown in the following screenshot.
Click Save to save the changes. A message appears confirming that the changes have been saved.
To customize the notifications settings for actions related to Newsfeed (as shown in the following screenshot), follow these directions:
- Select the E-mail checkbox next to the notification preference that you want to change. For instance, selecting email notification for When someone posts a new question action will send an email to you when someone posts a new question in your classroom.
- Repeat this step to select/deselect notification preferences for Mobile Device and Web for other preferences as shown in the following screenshot.
Click Save to save the changes. A message appears confirming that the changes have been saved.
To customize your notifications preferences for action related to Stories (as shown in the following screenshot), follow these directions:
- Select the E-mail checkbox next to when someone likes your story preference. When enabled, an email will be sent to you when someone likes your story.
- Repeat this step to select/deselect notification preferences for Mobile Device and Web for other actions as shown in the following screenshot.
Click Save to save the changes. A message appears confirming that the changes have been saved.
To customize your notifications preferences for action related to Messages (as shown in the following screenshot), follow these directions:
- Select the E-mail checkbox next to when someone send you a new message preference. When enabled, an email will be sent to you when someone send you a new message.
- Repeat this step to select/deselect notification preferences for Mobile Device and Web.
Click Save to save the changes. A message appears confirming that the changes have been saved.
To customize your notifications preferences for action related to Turnitin assignment (as shown in the following screenshot), follow these directions:
- Select the E-mail checkbox next to when Turnitin originality score syncing exercise is complete for a turnitin assignment preference. When enabled, an email will be sent to you once originality score report is generated successfully for a turnitin assignment.
- Repeat this step to select/deselect notification preferences for Mobile Device and Web.
1. Click Save to save the changes.
2. A message appears confirming that the changes have been saved.
