Learner- Submitting Assessments

Making textual submissions

1. Click Assessments of the required classroom.

2. On the Assessments landing page, click on the required assessment.

3. Paste/type in your answer in the rich text editor.

4. Rich text editor enhances your text submission by letting you perform the following actions:

  • Change the formatting of your text (font, alignment etc.)
  • Insert images, equations, tables, special characters etc.
  • Insert links

 

5. Click Submit for Evaluation.

6. A confirmation pop-up appears. If you are sure, then click Yes to proceed. May God be with you!;)

7. A confirmation message appears. Your submission is done, now hope for the best! You can also view the submission you have made.

Making file submissions

1. Navigate to the required assignment.

2. On the assignment landing page, click Choose File.

3. Browse and select the file from your system and click Open to upload the selected file.

4. After your file is uploaded, click Submit for Evaluation.

5. A confirmation pop-up appears. Click Yes to proceed.

6. A confirmation message appears. Your submission is done. You can concentrate on other stuff now!

Making audio submissions

1. Navigate to the required assignment.

2. On the assignment landing, click REC to record your answer. Show them the magic in your voice!!

3. Record your answer and click Stop.

Note: Don't forget to click Stop after you are done recording your answer. Else, your progress will be lost.

3. While the recording is being processed, click play to playback your recording. In case you need to clear your throat or something, click Start over to reject the current recording and record a new one.

4. After the recording is processed, you can playback the recording by clicking the play button. You can also click Remove to remove the recording and start a new recording.

5. When you are satisfied with your recording, click Submit for Evaluation.

6. A confirmation pop-up appears. Click Yes to submit the recorded audio answer as a submission to this assignment.

7. A confirmation message appears. Your submission is complete.

Attempting timed assessments

Timed assessments are the online Quizzes which once started needs to be completed within the set time limit. Always be careful of the time limit of these assessments; blink and you miss it!

1. Navigate to the required assessment.

2. On the Quiz landing page, click Take this Quiz now to start attempting the Quiz.

Note: Here, you can see that the Quiz is timed and also the duration within which you need to complete it.

3. When you start attempting the quiz, you will notice a timer running backwards. This indicates the time left for you to complete the quiz and submit it.

4. Attempt the quiz and click Submit for Evaluation before the timer runs out, else your marked answer will be auto-submitted when the timer reaches zero. After that you attempt will be over.

Note: If you don't mark any answer and the timer runs out, then 'No answer' will be considered as your submitted answer.

5. A confirmation pop-up appears. Click Yes to submit.

6. A confirmation message appears. Your submission is successful.

Viewing the maximum number of attempts available to attempt an assessment

1. Click Assessments of the required classroom.

2. On the Assessments landing page, click on the required assessment.

3. Under INSTRUCTIONS, you can see the maximum number of attempts available to you. These are the number of time(s) you can attempt this assessment.

Making multiple attempts

For an assessment an Instructor can allow more than one submissions from learners. If needed, you can attempt the assessment more than once by making multiple submissions before the assessment is evaluated by the instructor. Once you start the assignment again, your previous attempt will be overwritten.

2. After the first attempt, every time you click on the required assessment, you will see a message stating that you have already submitted the assignment and the number of times you have submitted the assignment. For instance, in the following case (refer the screen shot) the learner has submitted the assignment once. The maximum attempts are five; therefore the learner can submit the assignment four more times.

Note: Once you attempt the assessment again, your previous attempt will be overridden.

Saving a submission as draft

2. Click Save & Continue Later. Your progress will be saved. You can continue from where you left!

3. In case of a Quiz, you can click Continue taking Quiz to resume taking the Quiz.

Viewing submissions

You can view information about each of your assessment submissions anytime. This can be done at the time of submission or later. Refer to the following steps:

Note: You will not be able to view submission details until you have made submission for an assessment.

1. Navigate to the required assessment's landing page.

2. Click View Submission.

3. The submission page displays the original submission. However, if you have submitted the assignment / quiz with a file upload, then the file will open in a document viewer as illustrated below:

Viewing correct answers and feedback

After your Instructor has published your assessment scores, you can view the correct answers and feedback. Refer to the following steps:

1. Navigate to the required assessment's landing page.

2. Click View answers & Feedback.

3. Click Detailed View.

4. On Detailed View page, you can view the grade (if any) and see what score you received for each question.
