Two-factor Authentication (2FA)

Teamie supports two-factor authentication (2FA), sometimes referred to as two-step verification. 2FA is a security process in which the user needs to go through two layers of authentication instead of one. This helps in protecting the user account from any malicious activities. The first level of authentication is the username and password. The newly added second level of authentication is with the help of SMS sent to the user's phone number.

This article will guide you on:

Contact your Teamie account manager for getting 2FA setup on your site.

Setting up roles for 2FA

Any roles that are setup for 2FA will be required to go through the two level of authentication. For instance, if "learner" role is setup for 2FA, then every user with learner role would be required to login with their user name and password first and then enter the one-time pin that they receive on their mobile number that is updated on their Teamie profile. So, it is advised to have all the users of a role mobile number updated before getting that role set up for 2FA.

Role setup for 2FA will be done at our end.
