Users can view interactions on a post in a detailed manner in addition to identifying users who have seen the post. The analytics of how different users have interacted with a post includes the following details:
- Name
- Seen By count (with time)
- Total number of comments made by individual users
- Total number of replies made by individual users
- Last interaction date and time
Also, you can sort all the aforementioned list in either ascending / descending or alphabetical order (in case of first and last names).
Let's see how you can view participation for a post.
This article will guide you on:
1. On the homepage, click the classroom to view its newsfeed.
2. On the classroom newsfeed, click the Seen by 'n' View Participation button for the required post.
The number of users who have seen the post are shown on the post itself. For instance, in the following screenshot the number "Seen by 7" indicates that seven users have seen the post.
You can also click the Seen by 'n' View Participation button for the required post on the homepage newsfeed also.
3. The People who have interacted with this post (thought/question/task) popup opens with the following details:
- Name
- Seen By count (with time)
- Total number of comments made by individual users
- Total number of replies made by individual users
- Last interaction date and time
4. You can also see the time at which users have seen the post by hovering over the tick mark under the Seen column.
5. The user interaction stats for a post includes the list of all the users who are part of the classroom. Tick the Show only learners checkbox to filter all the learners who are part of the classroom.
'Learner' is a whitelabelled term for 'student' and this may differ for different Teamie sites.
6. In case you wish to send reminders to learners who have not yet participated (not made a comment/reply on the post), click Send Reminder.
Although all users of the classrooms will be listed in the stats table, only learners who have not created a comment or a reply on the post will be included in the reminder.
Users with 'Learner' role will not see the option for sending reminders. This option is made for instructors to remind learners who have not yet participated on a post.
7. A Send Reminder popup opens. The Subject and reminder body field will be pre-filled with the necessary details to send a quick reminder. You can edit it as per your convenience. The reminder body will also contain the link for learners to access the post directly from the email reminder. Click Send Email to send the reminder.
As an instructor, you have the option to send a copy of the reminder to all the instructors in that classroom. This is similar to how we use the CC option while sending an email to keep the recipients in loop. Click the Send a copy to instructors checkbox to send a copy of the reminder to all the instructors in that classroom
This can be very handy in case a classroom has more than one instructor as all of them would be informed when a reminder is sent to the learners. Furthermore, this can be used as a record keeping tool by instructors as they would have an email record of when they have sent the reminder and to whom. For instance, an instructor can now have a record that a certain number of reminders were sent to learners before their marks were deducted for late submission.
As an instructor, you can also choose to send the learner notifications to their parents as well. This will be practically cc'ing the parents on learners notification and keeping them apprised.
Note: This is an optional feature and can be enabled on your Teamie site on request.
8. Clicking on any column's header will sort the table by the column, and clicking again on the header will sort in reverse order. The following sorts will be done in descending order on the first click:
- First and last name sorts will be sorted by ascending order
- Seen (descending order of when the user have seen the post for the first time)
- Comments (most comments comes on top)
- Replies (most replies comes on top)
- Last interaction date (latest interaction comes on top)
