The classroom navigation menu are tabs provided on the left side inside a classroom that helps you access different classroom's areas like posts, materials and so on. Once you have logged into Teamie platform, you will see that the landing page (also called home page) is divided into two sections, the first section shows the list of classrooms that you are a member of, whereas the second section shows the list of posts from all your classrooms.
1. Click the Classroom card of your choice to go to its landing page.
2. By default, you will be taken to the Posts tab where you will see all the posts (announcements, thought, question and homework/task) which have been shared by the classroom members.
3. You will also see the ToDos/All events section on the posts tab of the classroom which will show the upcoming tasks such as homework/task posts, assessments and lessons that require your immediate attention, from a particular classroom.
4. Click All Events toggle to see the completed items, as well as other events associated with lessons and events that the teacher has manually added to the classroom calendar.
5. You may use the FILTER BY HASHTAGS section to filter the posts which are linked to a specific hashtag.
6. Click MORE FILTERS to expand and then apply the filter of your choice. For example, in the following screen-shots, we have applied Task filter to fetch all the task posts shared in this classroom. We can then easily mark them as done.
7. Once the filter is applied successfully, you will see the total number of task posts available in that classroom.
8. Click Mark as done for a task post so that it can be considered as completed. Once, a task post is marked as done, it will stop appearing in your ToDos.
9. The moment you click Mark as Done, the label will be changed from Mark as Done to Done which indicates that you have successfully completed the given task.
Teamie also has a site-level configuration setting (disabled by default) which will prompt learners to mark a task post as done once they make the first comment on a task post. This means if a learner posts their first comment on a task post, and the task post is not marked as done, then they will be shown a popover to enquire if they wish to mark the task as done. The popover will have two actions - Yes and No. Clicking Yes will mark the post as done and dismiss the popover, and clicking No will just dismiss the popover without marking the task post as done.
This popover will only be shown if a task post is not already marked as done and then the first comment is made by a learner. It will not be shown for the second comment and onwards in case learners don’t mark the post as done after the first comment.
Take note that this popover will only be shown if the configuration setting is enabled on your Teamie. Kindly write to us in case you wish to enable this setting. Furthermore, the popover (if enabled) will also be shown in the task post full view or when the task post is accessed from the calendar view.
10. Latest comment is the default sorting option which is applied in both the newsfeeds, as per which the posts that have the latest comments/replies will be shown at the top of the newsfeed. So, essentially, the posts with new comments/replies will appear at the top of the newsfeed.
11. To sort the newsfeed on the basis of the latest post, you can apply the "SORT BY - Latest post" sorting option. When this option is enabled, you will see all the posts in the descending order of post creation, i.e, the latest posts will appear at the top regardless of the comments made on any of the existing posts. So, essentially, the newest post will appear at the top of the newsfeed.

The Materials Overview View is a learner-specific navigation view for the materials page. It is beneficial for learners with a long list of materials for a classroom/module. The existing detailed materials view will also be present customarily, with a new option to switch to the Materials Overview View.
This is an optional feature and can be enabled on request. Kindly contact your site administrator or write to us in case you wish to enable the Materials Overview View on your Teamie site.
1. On the Materials page of a classroom, click the Materials Overview View button.
2. The Materials Overview View lists the materials in minimal view to include only the material name and completion status. This allows learners to easily and quickly access the classrooms materials without the need to have a long scroll through a list of large materials cards.
3. Similar to the detailed view, you can expand or collapse the sections in the overview view as well, which will be remembered when you revisit this page.
- Lessons can also be expanded to quickly view the list of published lesson pages.
- The learners’ selected view will be remembered. When they will revisit the materials page, the same view will be opened, by default for all classrooms of that learner.
4. When a material (except the online quiz) is accessed from the new overview view, it will also open with the materials overview sidebar. The selected material will also be highlighted in the sidebar.
The learner can then quickly navigate to other materials using the sidebar. The sidebar will also have the option to expand a lesson and access the pages within.
5. If the Materials Overview View is selected, then the materials page will also show the events sidebar, similar to how it is shown on the Posts page. The events sidebar will allow learners to view events from the next 7 days and access them quickly for a classroom.
